The inequality in cognition
• During the last three decades, we witness a real revolution in
science and all cognitive fields as well: the free access of
knowledge on the internet. This applies to the newly produced
knowledge and the knowledge produced in the past as well.
• In order to have access to the sources of his/her research, a PhD
student or a researcher of the 1980ies should have access to a
specialised library. As far as it concerns science, these libraries
could only be found in the most scientifically advanced countries.
• To be up to date and make breakthrough research one should
have physical access to these places.
• As a result, the inequality in scientific cognition between
countries continued to grow.
