Inclusive UNESCO Recommendation

UNESCO will support and open

With the aim of building a global d e b a t e s o n O p e n S c i e n c e

consensus on Open Science, the awareness, understanding and

d e v e l o p m e n t o f t h e U N E S C O policy development
Recommendation on Open Science will

rely on an inclusive, transparent and

consultative process involving all

countries and all stakeholders.

The Recommendation is expected to

define shared values and principles for

Open Science, with proposals for Guided by a multi-stakeholder Open

action to bring citizens closer to science, Science Advisory Committee, the
an d co m m i t m e nt s fo r a bette r process will be supported by a

distribution, production and access to global comprehensive Open Science
