P. 19
One of China’s efforts for closing the gender gap in Science
”In 2010, a joint document from the Central
Committee of the Communist Party of China
and the State Council called for the creation of
policies to help talented men and
women balance work and family. It
advocated for a more equitable gender ratio in
professional workplaces. In 2011, the
Ministry of Science and Technology and the
National Women’s Federation jointly issued a
policy document to champion the
development of women in science and
technology careers.”
